This Day In History: Today is Malaria day (in the Americas). I'm a big fan of DDT, "The Excellent Powder" which is the best tool we have to fight Malaria. However, DDT has been banned since 1972 because people feared it harmed the environment. "Since the mid-1970s, when DDT was eliminated from global eradication efforts, tens of millions of people have died from malaria unnecessarily: most have been children less than five years old." ~Paul A.
